WILMINGTON, NC - The UNCW Baseball team took care of business Sunday afternoon at Brooks Field over a four hour period by making it past East Tennessee State University 16-11 to cap off a sweep of ETSU over the weekend. Over the weekend of April 15-17 covered a three-game series with East Tennessee State University at Brooks Field. The first one came on Friday with a 15-5 rout. The second one came on Saturday with a 17-7 trump behind 23 runs total. The Seahawks before today’s game including the two games just stated had a 7-game winning streak. This win streak came after a 9-9 run that included 7 losses on the road after a 6-0 start. Sunday afternoon’s matchup that was the last of the series with ETSU did not come as easy as the first two as the over empowerment did not come until the bottom of the 8th inning. |
