UNCW Baseball Team Honored at Halftime for CAA Championship Rings

Wilmington, NC - The Men’s Basketball Team’s victory over Delaware on Thursday evening was not the only exciting story that occurred in Raiford G. Trask Coliseum. The other event that happened was last year’s UNCW baseball team was honored at halftime for their CAA Championship win in the 2015 season and was given their Championship rings in front of the crowd at Trask Coliseum to commemorate their accomplishment.

The Seahawks Baseball Team went 41-18 in their impressive 2015 season behind a 28-6 mark at home. After winning the CAA Championship May 23rd, the Seahawks went on to the NCAA tournament and ultimately lost to LSU by the same score of 2-0 in two games. The baseball team at The University of North Carolina Wilmington will embark on the 2016 season beginning February 19th at 4 p.m. at Brooks Field versus Western Carolina as a part of Buffalo Wild Wings Battle at the Beach.
